Reuters Labs is a sandbox for showcasing new media initiatives for feedback and analysis. We focus on innovating around content aggregation, delivery and publishing across the web, mobile, IPTV and B2B delivery platforms.
The role of Head of Labs Development and Senior Technologist involves investigating and prototyping new product ideas through the use of technology and user experience research.
Achievements :
- Thomson Reuters iPhone application (http://reuters.com/iphone)
- Helped define the Media Content/API Strategy.
- Mobile Journalism - developed a mobile journalism platform so journalist could file stories (text, video and pics) through the Nokia (symbian) devices.

- Spotlight APIs - exposed the Reuters.com content through a set of REST APIs to encourage innovation around Reuters content to outside developers. (http://spotlight.reuters.com)
- Set up an off shore development team in China for the Media Technology team.
- Devise the content strategy for the Media group.
- Innovated other new products with the focus on user behavior and technology - hands-on development of prototypes.
